There are simple ways to clean your loofahs.
1. Just rinse, squeeze, shakes off the water, and hang to air dry.
2. Throw it in the dishwasher.
3. Boil it in hot water for a few minutes
4. Nuke it in the microwave in a big bowl of water
5. Soaked for two hours in a solution of white vinegar and water (about 2 tablespoons to a quart of water) and set out to air-dry, preferably in a sunny area.
6. 1 or 2 drops of tea tree oil added to 1 cup warm water is a good disinfecting solution.
Note: Always change your loofah every 3 months, max! Always rinse and dry your loofah after each uses. Loofah will collect bacteria if it is kept moist and warm, an environment common to bathrooms.
